Sandat Glamping Tents was founded in 2013 on the island of Bali, 3km away from Ubud. Offering luxurious accommodation surrounded by the splendour of the forest, fantastic dining with a number of influences from East and West and a great deal of privacy.

GLAMPING IN BALI
Sandat Glamping Tents were the first glamping resort on the rain forest island of Bali. Located only 3km away from the cultural centre of the island, Ubud, which is also their most sought after tourist destination. Glamping here is a chance to immerse yourself in a corner of paradise, surrounded by green rice fields, unique landscapes and sinuous terraces.
THE SITE
There are eight luxurious eco-designed structures on site. Five magnificent luxury safari tents supplied by Exclusive Tents which are 40 square metres each with a private pool overlooking the forest. Each tent is surrounded by tropical gardens and has a spectacular indoor bathroom.
Then there are three Lumbug, these are typical barns with a characteristic thatched roof that almost touches the ground that have been converted into evocative and romantic rooms on two floors.
WHAT TO EXPECT
There is a different kind of peace to be found at Sandat Glamping. Silence is not something you’ll discover here because in a rain forest it is never quiet. Instead, it is a chance to relax in the deepest comfort and let your mind be carried away by the natural sounds surrounding you. Reconnect with nature, but in your private pool while enjoying a glass of wine. Bali is known as “the island of the gods” so feel free to indulge yourself.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Being authentic is important to Federico and Emanuela who set up the glamping site in 2013. They’ve only hired staff who are native Balinese and the site is designed to be aesthetically compatible with the surroundings and the site itself is very eco-sustainable.
“We chose glamping instead of a traditional hotel because we think that the travellers today want to get away from over-populated centres and touristic areas and take refuge somewhere that they can live in harmony with nature without sacrificing the comfort of a multi starred hotel,” they say.
Not to mention, with such vibrant surroundings, with such lush vegetation and the fantastic design of each unit, the Instagram moments found here are incredible.
