Arguably the single most famous natural landmark in the entire continent is Uluru. This is essentially a huge slab of land with a flat top, and it is one of the most impressive sights to be found anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere, if not the world. Uluru is best experienced up close and personal, and thankfully there are a lot of tour guides you can go to if you want to make sure that you are seeing it right, such as Emu Run Experience. However you see it, you really have to make it a big part of your trip.

The Great Barrier Reef

Probably the other main very famous landmark would be the Great Barrier Reef. This stretch of coral is known for its bright display and incredibly enormous size, and despite the fact that it is slowly dying from pollution it is still one of the most impressive displays anywhere in the world. You can still go and snorkel down there if you are keen to see it, and doing so is definitely one of the best things you can do if you are going to be seeing as much of Australia as you possibly can. All in all, you are going to find it’s an incredible experience and quite a sight to behold.

Fraser Island

This is a little less well-known, but it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and only partly because of its 75-mile long beach! That is easily one of the longest in the world, so you might want to rent a truck and go driving along it just to see what it is like for yourself. Fraser Island has a lot of history and natural beauty to it too, and if you want to get up close and personal with a lot of interesting animals it is one of the best places to go in the world. You will definitely not regret going to see this amazing natural sight, so that is something that you are going to want to consider if you are going to be in this part of the world.

As you can see, there are a few definite sights that you should really go and see, and these have to be right up there. Make sure that you are going to make the most of it and you should find that you enjoy it a lot more.
