Places like Florida or California are known throughout the world for being hot tourist destinations. Still, Arizona is full of delights that will astound all of your senses. The more you learn about this state, the more you realize it needs to be on your bucket list.

The Grand Canyon
As far as unique selling points go, Arizona takes the cake with this one. If you’re not from the US, you probably don’t know where the Grand Canyon is. You’ve definitely heard of it, but it could be in any state for all you know. As it happens, this massive piece of natural beauty calls Arizona it’s home. This is one of the most wonderful things in the world, so it’s worth going to this state just to visit the Grand Canyon. There’s a lot to do nearby, with plenty of national parks nearby, offering excellent opportunities for glamping and camping.
The Food
Arizona is also known for having some amazing food and restaurants. The cuisine here is very diverse as there’s a mix of cultures rolled into one. However, you probably get the biggest influence from Mexico, with many restaurants serving up Tex-Mex delights. Places like Barrio Queen Mexican Restaurant have become super popular as they bring authentic Mexican cuisine to the people of Arizona. The sheer variety of dishes across the state is staggering, and there’s still a lot of southern inspiration too – expect plenty of fried chicken.
The Weather
Those of you that know anything about Arizona are probably aware that it has a hot climate. A large portion of the state is a desert, and the temperature gets super high during the summer months. If you’re looking for somewhere to catch a tan, this is undoubtedly it. Also, and this came as a surprise to me while researching Arizona, it gets some snowfall during the winter months. There are even a few ski resorts arizona for you to take advantage of.
The Cities
Arizona is also home to some really memorable and beautiful cities. Flagstaff is always famous among tourists, offering lots of historical sites and plenty of great things to do. Then, there’s Tucson, which has over 350 days of sun per year. Yep, you read that right, and it backs up the point made about the excellent weather! Scottsdale is another city that catches the eye, offering the most spas per capita in the US, along with lots of hiking routes and desert views.
Overall, there’s plenty to be excited about in this great state. It may not command the same respect and attention as other US states, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth visiting. If you want a different American experience, Arizona is a state that’s well worth your time. As you can see, it clearly throws up some fantastic wonders.
