La Vie en Rose. Haute Garonne. France

*As seen in The Logbook

Set in the Sava Valley of the beautiful Haute Garonne region of France, La Vie en Rose is rural, idyllic and inspiring. Surrounded by outstanding mountain views and unspoilt nature in an area famous for its sunflower fields, it possesses the kind of raw beauty that inspires artists.

Founded in 2013 by Emma and Jamie Fulton La Vie en Rose offer a space where guests can reconnect with nature and family to create special memories.  Combining all the best elements of the outdoor camping experience with the luxury of a boutique hotel. With their backgrounds in luxury brands and fine art, the pair were destined for this place and this life.

THE LOCATION AND LA VIE EN ROSE

The Haute Garrone combines rolling hills with breath-taking scenery, local markets and Chateaux with fortified villages; brocantes, vineyards and a reputable gastronomic culture.   All of this in the sunshine and fresh air with the scent of flowers in the summer breeze. Laze in your own private hammock or lounge by the heated saltwater swimming pool. On site there is a shaded Moroccan area and well-equipped games room.

The uber spacious luxury bell tents come with wooden decking, shaded canvas awnings and views of the countryside. The canvas retreats offer two-bedroom tents (6m and 5m linked) one of which is superking (luxury cotton sheets, netted inner tents as standard) and a lounge so that you can stay up late chatting under the stars whilst the kids are snuggled up in bed.  All with a box of  petit dejeuner delivered fresh to your tent each morning!

Perfect for families the tents are connected and create a nestled homestead that still provides privacy for the parents. Each tent has its own private shower room facilities of the highest standard including organic soaps, towels and hairdryers. Each tent also has its own outdoor wooden kitchen complete with everything that you should need, from cooking equipment to fresh herbs on site.

To get there,  the site is one hour away from Toulouse or Lourdes Airport,  situated on the southern slopes of Gascony you will find the small village of Escanecrabe with its church and famous regional Cheverie d’Escanecrabe. Sunflower fields and panoramic views of the Pyrenees mountains abound. Down a country lane surrounded by fields, hedged by oak trees, and backing on to  hundreds of acres  of woodland you will find the site.

RELATIONSHIPS BUILDING

To Emma and Jamie building relationships is essential, they have a genuine interest in people and really want their guests to have a fantastic holiday.

They are on site every day to help their guests make the most of the area. They are a family run site that likes to go that extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable and memorable.

2019

This year the couple will be adding a woodland den area with hammocks under the shade, which could make this the ultimate relaxing and most inspiring place in France. La Vie en Rose is recommended in Elle magazine (top 5 cool camping Europe), Libelle Magazine, Cool Camping guide  and Trip Advisor rated Excellent, so book quickly.
