Since September 2016, African Wild Tours have been offering a range of enthralling safari packages across Uganda.
The business was founded by Ssebwato Daniel, a young entrepreneur who is still involved in the day-to-day running of the business. His background includes working with several tour operators as a tour guide and safari manager and his passions definitely lie in wildlife and travel.
First Hand Experience
Everything, from the safaris to the accommodation has gone through a first-hand inspection by African Wild Tours so that they know exactly what it is that they are offering when speaking with a client. Accommodation options are varied, ranging from lodges, resorts, hotels and safari tents all depending on what the client’s budgets and tastes require.
Each safari is updated every 6 months to keep them as accurate and rewarding as possible. Ssebwato’s team of five are locals and highly experience in touring, capable of spotting the smallest detail that will lead to something new and exciting while out in the field. Due to this, no two tours are ever alike, and the guides have to be flexible and innovative.
Ssebwato explains that for every client that visits Queen Elizabeth National Park, they partner with Katwe Tourism Destination Center to show them around the salt lake and birding at lake Munyanyange. This gives their clients a treat into the local life of the Katwe Village and on the other hand supports the community.
Ssebwato says that his business has been built mainly on recommendations from past clients and that they keep in touch with clients for offers and discounts on new tours and products. Also, networking with other safari companies who have clients looking for something that only African Wild Tours is able to offer.
This year, they have visited Pian Upe Game Reserve and want to market it more. It is the only place to see roan antelope in Uganda. In Uganda it is only in Pian Upe and Kidepo Valley National Park where you can see cheetahs and ostrich.
Things to Keep In Mind
Ssebwato says that nobody should hesitate to ask any questions before or on safari. His team and him are there to equip people with advice and information about their destination.
