Reviews Safaris

Kenya Expresso Safari. Customer first.

Founded in 2009 by Paul Mwendwa at Samburu National Park, Kenya Expresso Tours and Safaris offers a host of luxurious and insightful tours around Kenya. Offering custom fitting tours, safaris and self-drive options and having worked as a driver and tour guide for over a decade, Paul brings a wealth of experience and joy to each tour.

“The name Kenya Express is the famous nickname for the warthog,” he explains, “When it is being chased by predators it can run at high speeds and is one of Africa’s most famous and playful animals.”

CUSTOMER FIRST

Putting the customer first is something that separates Kenya Expresso Tours from the competition, Paul explains. And this is achieved by working with a team who genuinely want each client to have the very best safari and holiday. Thanks to the team approach of applying great listening skills and creativity to create well-considered and well-structured itineraries, KET Safaris are known as the “go to” for personalised trips.

“We integrate the client’s objectives, interests, ideas, personal tastes and of course their budget to the safaris,” he says, “And this allows us to create the perfect safari and nothing less.”

Besides tailor made safaris, they also have great collections of tours and holiday packages that suit family, honeymooners, private groups, singles or couples. All of these itineraries are custom made by their specialists and are council approved.

“This is done to ensure that there is flexibility to fit the client’s requirements and to ensure there is balance between family time and adventure,” he says.

THE SAFARIS AND TOURS

Currently covering Kenya and Tanzania, Paul is looking in 2019 to expand their travel services to officially cover the entire East African Region. While they do arrange trips to Uganda, Rwanda and others, it is not yet been made part of their official package.

With offices based in Nairobi with agents in Mombasa and Arusha, any problem before or during a tour can be responded to immediately 24/7 via emergency telephone numbers given to the client upon booking. This also includes enquiries regarding the tours and transfers.

SAFARI TRANSPORTATION

Much of the safaris and tours are on wild terrain where the quality of the ground makes the choice of vehicle very important. Paul has just brought in a new fleet and each comfortable safari Van Minibus  carries 5-8 passengers and the Jeep Land Cruiser carries 5-7 passengers, thus affording everyone a window seat and access to the roof hatch.
