After converting a section of the stables into a unique home in 2013, Marina and André Boekee began building THE STABLES in March 2015, making use of the unused horse stables on their smallholding a few kilometers out of town. Wanting to invest in something sustainable and to establish themselves in the under developed self-catering market in the Tzaneen area, they completed the first three units in June 2015.
THE STABLES offers comfortable, clean and uniquely decorated rooms, braai facilities, wide open surroundings of natural bush, abundant bird life and game that roam freely on their property, there is a tranquility that is not found in the urban areas.
There is ample safe parking space for trucks, boats, caravans and trailers – a huge plus point as most guesthouses do not have this facility in our town.
ROOMS
THE STABLES has 4 self-catering rooms, and three “SLEEP & GO” rooms. The “SLEEP & GO” rooms are also very comfortable and very affordable – a great winner with reps.
The self-catering rooms are big and spacious with fully equipped kitchenettes, a dressing room and a big bathroom. Two of these rooms can occupy three people in each. The rooms are serviced daily.
Each room is supplied with fresh milk, ice, filtered water, 5 Roses Tea, Rooibos (Redbush) Tea, Jacobs coffee, white- brown sugar and freshly home baked rusks. Hand and bath liquid soap and fresh towels are also provided. There are TV’s in all the rooms with Open View Decoders.

CUSTOMER COMFORTS
Marina is fastidious when it comes to customer satisfaction, saying “I believe in keeping my guests as happy and as comfortable as possible”.
While no plans are set in stone yet, there is still a section of the stables that can be converted into another three rooms.
