After $60 million spent to rennovate the 285 roomed luxury hotel, Laurus Corporation, a private real estate investment and development firm, announced today the grand opening of Hotel Talisa, Vail. Remaining under the management of Two Roads Hospitality, the largest owner and operator of independent hotels, resorts and residences in the United States, Hotel Talisa will be the first ski destination property in North America to join The Luxury Collection’s® portfolio of world-renowned hotels and resorts.

The hotel is set along the tranquil Gore Creek, just steps away from the beautiful forested mountainside, perfect for active and meditative activities. Hotel Talisa is Vail’s only true ski-in/ski-out luxury resort, with chair 20 on property, guests have easy access to Vail Mountain. This gorgeous location and ski valet offers visitors a first-class experience with the shortest journey from room to slopes. No need to carry luggage or stand in line, you step out of the room and you’re on a lift. Also, for those not solely interested in skiing there are a host of managed activities available including mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and more.

And that experience comes from the details.”

Cuisine
Hotel Talisa offers three culinary venues, each sourcing ingredients from local Colorado ranchers and farmers. Gessner, the hotel’s full-service restaurant, features cuisine inspired by the Colorado Rockies as well as Vail’s roots in European culture with authentic flavors and dishes from those countries bordering the Alps. Specialty menu items include Mussel & Foraged Mushrooms, Colorado Rack of Lamb, sourced from locally-based Superior Farms, Black Truffle Tagliatelle Pasta and Duck Confit and Wild Boar Sausage Cassoulet. At the center of the property, The Fireside Bar and Lounge draws in visitors and guests to enjoy Après Everyday year-round. Here, guests can indulge in après favourites like Bison Chili and Lobster Crostini while listening to live music overlooking Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. There is a market that offers guests specialty gourmet provisions and beverages perfect for an early morning start or a mid-afternoon treat.
Following in the footsteps of traditional alpine spas, the Spa at Hotel Talisa offers the chance to enjoy both the natural splendour and healing powers of the surrounding mountains. The treatments include High-Altitude Adjustment Ritual and body scrubs infused with botanicals and access to the resort’s 58,000 square foot adjoining athletic club.
